of experience as a broker and property owner to his clients. After 10 years in the financial district
office of Helmsley-Spear, Inc., he was a founding partner of Williamson, Picket, Gross, Inc. in 1971,
where he remained until 1997. During this period, he served thousands of clients in leasing transactions
and was instrumental in the purchase or sale of major Manhattan properties.

Avenue, and 100 Maiden Lane are prominent Manhattan addresses where his firm was involved for the
buyer or seller. Among his ownership interests have been 50 Broadway, 116 John Street, 85 John
Street and 175 Water Street.
He has represented major tenants such as Standard Chartered Bank, American International Group,
American Home Products and Thomson McKinnon, whose 600,000 square foot lease became the anchor for
1 Financial Square in the Wall Street area.
Paul Chester has been a commercial real estate broker and consultant for over
twenty years. He has represented tenants up to 400,000 square feet and buildings of more than
1,000,000 square feet.
Mr. Chester has worked with corporate and professional tenants in all industries throughout the
Greater New York City area. The companies he has represented include the Bank of Tokyo, Wirthlin
Worldwide, Continuum Partners (Beth Israel Hospital), the Franciscan Sisters of the Poor Health
Systems and Affinia Hospitality. He has also represented the ownership of Manhattan buildings
such as 180 Maiden Lane, 116 John Street, 85 John Street, 160 Water Street and 708 Third Avenue.
Mr. Chester received his undergraduate degree in Mathematics and English from Georgetown University
and his MBA in Real Estate Finance from Columbia University. He also has taught high school and
worked as a reporter for the Bergen Record.
Since 1992, Joe McGowan has represented both tenants and landlords of office
buildings throughout Manhattan. On behalf of tenants, he has represented start-up dotcom companies
and multi-billion dollar corporations. Some of his clients include British Airport Authority (BAA),
Fordham University, Natsource and Cox Enterprises.
He has successfully represented landlords in leasing transactions with American International
Group (AIG), Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide, Clifford Chance Rogers & Wells LLP, Media Link and
Mr. McGowan entered the real estate industry upon graduation
from Fordham University in 1992 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications. He also received
an MBA degree in Finance from Fordham University in 1998. He is a native of Manhattan, where he
resides with his wife and two daughters.
